How Nicely Does one Bounce?

Life can actually suck some days. Have you ever felt this way? Is today manufactured? I have had my share of technological challenges these last number of months and I chosen to keep notes on exactly how well (or you cannot!) I was handling the situation.
There are lots of times, in the business along with life, when we're tempted to just vomit our hands and present in – to surrender! Life, to me, has generally been excellent. When it comes to technology, though, that's foreign ground personally.
“Life is like five-card draw poker. Each day, a different hand; some days, junk; some days, the whole house; every day, the task of playing that hand to win!.” – Wendy Reid Crisp
There are lots of articles, books and interviews available on the topic of Success. For this article, I want to focus on setbacks and challenges.
It is important to be, and turn, mentally fit. Life is not necessarily a bowl of cherries. While many of people focus on health and fitness, it is simply as important (or even more so) to cultivate mental fitness.
I was contemplating Captain “Sully” (“Miracle for the Hudson”) these previous days. That is a man who has been mentally fit, capable and able to handle task of landing that huge aircraft about the Hudson River a year ago and saving many lives, including his or her own. Can you imagine exactly what it would have been like, inside moment, had he explained to his co-pilot: “Just a minute – I need to look at the manual to determine what to do!”
That's what many of people do inside our day-to-day lives – we leave what you should chance. Building mental strength and resilience must turn into a daily exercise. Here's what I learned over the previous weeks and months.
Be aware about your thinking when life knocks you down. Does your self-talk reflect “how does this always get lucky and me”? Or, can you shift your notions and be aware that 'this, too, shall pass”?
Control Your Self-Talk being positive and up-lifting. We are completely control of the dialogue that goes on in your heads, right away of the morning to the finish of manufactured. Get within the habit of needing a positive conversation with ourselves (and I'm discussing things over which you might have control – like challenges using the computer! – although I have used this powerful mental practice in the event it came the perfect time to deal while using deaths of loved ones, the finish of my marriage, and so forth.
When you have knocked down, make sure you fall lying on your back – 'cause after you fall lying on your back, you'll be able to look up – and after you can lookup, it is possible to get up! (Les Brown) This quote has saddled with me for decades. It's not how hard you fall, so how well you click here bounce. Become mindful of your bounce-ability!
Sometimes you simply need to surrender. When both my old laptop and new laptop were on the repair shop, I was told that it'd just be some hours………which turned into the full day. My anxiety was rising as being the hours passed – I had work to do! After the point of mid-day, I realized it was time for you to just release – to surrender. This was something beyond my control for the moment and it was critical that I shifted my thinking (from frustration, anxiety, stress) to concentrate on other things – there WERE other considerations I could do – so I aimed at catching up on some business reading. That change in thinking besides paid off mentally, but in addition with respect to effective and productive utilization of my time.
Meditate – breathe! In times of stress and challenge, we could often forget a number of the basics – like breathing calmly. This reduced the problem tremendously just inside the past week. Try it!
Don't play in the 'blame game'. When stressed, and everything's out of our control, it is usually easy to fit in this trap – the culprit game. Be alert to this and, again, shift your opinions.
CONCLUSION
It can be so simple to leave life, and business, to chance if this comes to our mental fitness. Setbacks happen – challenges appear – failure is merely around the corner on any day. It's critical to formulate our mental fitness skills each day so that every time a real crisis hits, nobody is running for that “User's Manual” to determine what to do. We are prepared therefore we are strong and resilient! This, too, shall pass.
